Belgium – 73 industry leaders representing nearly 20 industrial sectors have unveiled ‘The Antwerp Declaration for a European Industrial Deal’ during a European Industry Summit at BASF’s site in Antwerp.

This declaration, presented to Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, underscores the industry’s commitment to Europe’s transformation and outlines crucial needs to enhance competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability amid challenging economic conditions.

The primary goal of ‘The Antwerp Declaration’ is to advocate for decisive actions that will propel Europe towards a stronger, more competitive, and sustainable industrial landscape. It seeks to integrate the EU Industrial Deal into Europe’s strategic agenda, streamline legislation, ensure raw material self-sufficiency, foster demand for sustainable products, and nurture innovation.
