BASF and GS E&C to develop carbon capture solutions

CCUS

Germany/South Korea – Collaboration between BASF and GS Engineering and Construction (GS E&C) will see the two companies create modular solutions for Carbon Capture plants.

Partners want to create tailored package solutions for customers across sectors using standard components to capture CO2 from exhaust emissions and transform it into a form that can be used or stored.

With the help of BASF’s cutting-edge OASE blue CO2 capture process technology and GS E&C’s expert engineering, a modular carbon capture package with reduced CAPEX and OPEX can be supplied to customers fast. The time it takes for Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) projects to go from idea to operation will be cut down significantly as a result of this.

OASE

The OASE blue process technology developed by BASF will aid in the long-term viability and cost-effectiveness of CO2 capture from flue gas, while GS E&C will aid in the attainment of carbon neutrality by CO2 emitters by offering a comprehensive service package that includes everything from specialized engineering services to carbon capture, project financing, and storage and utilization.

One of BASF’s accelerator products that contributes significantly to sustainability along the value chain is the OASE products.
