EIES21: What’s next in Hydrogen?

The vistas for hydrogen are often clearer than the concrete steps that need to be taken now. But what needs to happen now to make the ambitions a reality. During the side event ‘Next steps in Hydrogen’ at EIES2021, we will investigate the construction of a hydrogen backbone in the Netherlands, the possibilities of importing hydrogen from overseas and the geographical possibilities of green hydrogen in Europe.

EIES21: ‘Think of it as a highway in need of renovation’

The Netherlands – The Dutch government wants a national transport network for hydrogen. It is a task with which Hynetwork Services will be working. The next step for this 100% owned subsidiary of Gasunie is to connect five large industrial clusters in the Netherlands. ‘It is now important that we get a market going,’ says project director Eddie Lycklama à Nijeholt.
