The Netherlands – ‘We are changing. But we have not been fast enough in taking steps in the right direction to improve the livability of our environment,’ CEO Hans van den Berg admitted at EIES2021 last week. Now watch his talk again.

‘Big steps are needed now and it also takes time to change course. Think of us as a big tanker. But I am sure we are on the right track’, he said.

Sustainable future

As a major emitter of CO2 and other pollutants, the steel company is currently in the spotlight. Partly because of this, the company’s transition is gaining momentum. Van den Berg is therefore asking for help from companies including. ‘Let’s start by cooperation. That’s the way to a sustainable future.’
