EIES 2021 in Rotterdam Ahoy

Summit

The NetherlandsThis year, The European Industry & Energy Summit (EIES) 2021 will be held in Rotterdam Ahoy. On December 7th and 8th , discussions and presentations on the opportunities for transition in European industry will be held  in various auditoriums.

The organization of EIES expect that the 2021 edition can be organized with an audience again. However, the 100% online version of 2020 has shown that streaming offers new opportunities. With a combination of physical and online, the reach of the event will be able to grow further. In 2019, the event had 650 physical registrations. In 2020, 1250 people registered for the online event, broadcasted from four studios in the Netherlands.

Variety

In 2021 Rotterdam Ahoy will be the physical hub for plenary sessions and various side events and break-outs. Via a networking app, everyone can also follow the various livestreams. There will also be room in Ahoy for an exhibition square with stand walls of partners. The event is based on the community-of-communities idea. Besides the plenary sessions of the organization itself, various partners will organize their own side events and break outs.

EIES aims to stimulate ideas, technology, plans and projects to tackle the challenge of climate change by bringing together all relevant parties and expertise from across Europe. The Summit focuses on a variety of topics such as zero-emission hydrogen, chemical recycling, energy efficiency, electrification, carbon capture, use and storage, bio-based chains and more.

The choice for Rotterdam Ahoy strengthens the ambition of the organization to continue to grow with the event. Moreover, Rotterdam is a home port and huge European hub for industrial activities and infrastructure.
