The Netherlands – Advario Projects B.V. has established a foothold in the port of Rotterdam, with the goal of developing a storage facility for future energy products in collaboration with its partners.
Under a sales and purchase agreement, Advario agreed to purchase the land lease from Aluminium & Chemie B.V. (Aluchemie).
The new location in Rotterdam gives Advario the chance to design, construct, create, and run the storage infrastructure its clients and partners require to effectively make the switch to greener energy. The 26-hectare Aluchemie site is situated in the Botlek’s geographic centre, giving it easy access to the region’s carbon dioxide and hydrogen pipeline networks.
The main waterways of Rotterdam are easily accessible from its waterfront location on the third Petroleumhaven. Finally, the property is close to the locations of the partners that Advario collaborates with internationally.
Ready for handover
Aluchemie will dismantle all above-ground and subsurface structures on the property, clean up the soil, and get it ready for handover. After the completion deadline of December 31, 2025, Advario can begin building on the property.
