United States – Powin has signed framework agreements with four developers to buy 5,800 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery energy storage systems, which will be spread across multiple projects in the US and Taiwan.
In 2022, 2023, and 2024, the energy storage systems will be delivered. Powin will provide fully integrated battery energy storage systems, including cells, battery management, stacks, enclosures, cabling, transformers, inverters, and all software and controls systems, as part of the framework agreement.
Long-term services
The Centipede platform, which is manufactured in North America, will be used in the majority of these supply agreements. For all projects covered by these agreements, Powin will be responsible for commissioning the battery energy storage systems as well as providing ongoing long-term services such as onsite O&M, battery augmentation, and 20-year extended warranties.
Over the next three years, Powin has a contract to supply over 5,000 MWh of energy storage systems around the world.
