Vestas secures new orders across USA

United States Vestas has received multiple wind turbine orders in the United States, including EnVentus turbines.

Vestas will deliver EnVentus turbines for two wind projects totaling 189 MW, both owned by Algonquin Power and Utilities Corp. Deerfield 2 is a project in Michigan, USA, that consists of 16 V162-6.2 MW turbines in 6.0 MW mode and one V150-6.0 MW turbine in 5.6 MW mode. The other project, Sandy Ridge 2, is located in Pennsylvania, USA, and consists of 14 V150-6.0 MW turbines and one V136-3.45 MW turbine in 3.6 MW mode.

Both orders include the procurement and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 10-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to assure the asset’s optimal performance. The orders will be delivered in the second quarter of 2022, with commissioning slated for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Unnamed project order

In addition, Vestas received a 101 MW order to power an unnamed project in the United States. The order consists of 24 V150-4.2 MW turbines. The order covers the procurement, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to assure the asset’s optimal performance. Turbine delivery will start in the third quarter of 2022, with commissioning expected for the fourth quarter of 2022.
