Vestas scores hat trick in Europe

EuropeVestas, the leading supplier of wind turbines, has won new contracts in Italy, France, and Finland.

For the Selinus wind park in Sicily, RWE Renewables has ordered a 25 MW order from Partanna and Castello. Six V136-4.2 MW wind turbines will be supplied and installed as part of the contract. The turbines will be delivered in the third quarter of 2022, and they will be put into service in the fourth quarter of that year.

A 56 MW order for wind turbines has also been placed with Vestas for a project in France. With this contract, 18 4 MW wind turbines will be delivered and installed in a variety of power-optimized modes, along with an Active Output Management 5000 (10-year AOM 5000) service agreement. The turbines will be delivered in various power-optimized modes.
The turbines will be delivered and put into service in the second half of 2022. Neither the project nor the client can be revealed.

Finally, for the Pajuperänkagas project in Finland, Vestas received an order for 87 MW from ABO Wind. The purchase includes 14 V162-6.2 MW turbines, which will be delivered and installed.
Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) services will be provided by Vestas for the duration of the project.
North Ostrobothnia’s Pajuperänkagas project, which will be located in Haapajärvi municipality, will receive its first wind turbines in the second quarter of 2023 and complete construction by the fourth quarter of that same year.
