The NetherlandsWindkoepel Groen has placed a 257 MW order with Vestas for seven projects in the Netherlands.

The contract calls for the delivery and installation of 37 V162-6.2 MW EnVentus wind turbines, some of which will operate at 6.0 MW, and eight V126-3.45 MW wind turbines that will operate at 3.8 MW.

The seven projects are part of Windplan Groen, a group effort to repower existing wind farms in the province of Flevoland’s eastern region. Windkoepel Groen brings together the individual owners.

Vestas will provide long-term Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreements for the project, ensuring power performance certainty and Vestas’ industry-leading service expertise throughout the project’s lifetime.

The first wind turbines will be delivered by Vestas in the third quarter of 2022. In late 2023, the final wind turbines will be installed.
