Italy – wpd has placed a 30-megawatt order with Vestas for the Licata wind park in Sicily, Italy.
Seven V150-4.2 MW wind turbines will be delivered and installed, six of which will be delivered in 4.3 MW optimized power mode, as well as a 15-year service agreement for Active Output Management 5000.
Delivery in 2023
Turbine delivery is scheduled for third quarter 2023, while commissioning is scheduled for later in 2023. Italy is Vestas’ largest market, accounting for over 40% of the installed capacity, and this project will help the company secure contracts totaling 1.68GW from the country’s auctions.
