Tekmar protects Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm cables in Germany

Renewables

Germany Global Offshore has awarded Tekmar Energy a contract to supply Cable Protection Systems (CPS) for the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm in Germany.

Parkwind is developing Arcadis Ost 1, a 257 MW offshore wind project. The project will be built in the Baltic Sea, northeast of the German island of Rügen.

Tekmar Energy will design, manufacture, and supply its latest generation of TekTube CPS to protect the wind farms array cables as they transition from the seabed to the wind turbine foundation at 27 different locations under the supply contract. The CPS will be built at Tekmar Energy’s cutting-edge facility in the North East of England and delivered to Global Offshore in 2022.

Tekmar Group is uniquely positioned to deliver the best cable protection solution due to its extensive engineering capabilities and unrivaled industry experience. This was demonstrated by Tekmar Energy, in collaboration with fellow Group companies Ryder Geotechnical, Subsea Innovation, and AgileTek Engineering, in engineering and optimizing CPS for Arcadis Ost 1.
