Brazil – Vestas has signed a contract with 2W Energia for the 113 MW Kairos project in the municipality of Icapu in the Brazilian state of Ceará.
The order includes 25 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines and a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract, which optimizes energy production over the project’s lifetime.
Vestas has now received 6 GW of orders in Brazil for the V150-4.2 MW wind turbine, including the 4.5 MW variant, cementing its position as the best-selling turbine model of all time in Brazil due to its excellent fit to local wind conditions and unrivaled levelised cost of energy. In order intake for the V150-4.2 MW turbine has surpassed 17.5 GW globally.
