Iceland to get first utility scale wind farm

Renewables

Iceland – GreenVolt – Energias Renováveis has agreed to enter the Icelandic renewable energy market through its subsidiary V-Ridium.

It has completed the purchase of a project for the construction of a wind farm with a capacity of 90 MW.

Iceland’s first

This wind farm is expected to be Iceland’s first utility-scale project, in a country that has set a global example in promoting renewable energy generation. With the 90 MW of capacity under construction, Iceland will be able to meet its energy needs entirely from renewable sources in the future.
