The NetherlandsVan Oord, a Dutch marine contractor, has signed a contract with Eneti’s wholly-owned subsidiary Seajacks UK Limited.

Van Oord has chosen the Seajacks Scylla, the company’s largest and most capable vessel. Currently stationed in Taiwan until 2022, the vessel will relocate to Europe once its current turbine installation contract with Ørsted on the Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farm is completed.

In 2023, the Van Oord contract’s firm charter will generate approximately $60 million in revenue.

Seajacks has installed more than 500 offshore wind turbines in Europe and Taiwan to date. Seajacks UK owns and operates a fleet of five GustoMSC-designed vessels – the Seajacks Kraken, Seajacks Leviathan, Seajacks Hydra, Seajacks Zaratan, and the aforementioned Seajacks Scylla – all capable of installing and maintaining offshore wind farms in harsh conditions.
