Ireland – Vestas, the global wind energy leader, secured a firm order from ERG SpA for the 47 MW Corlacky Hill wind project in the Northern Ireland.
The heart of the Corlacky Hill project lies in 11 V117-4.2 MW wind turbines, operating in a 4.3 MW mode. Each turbine stands tall, reaching 150 meters in hub height and 227 meters in rotor diameter.
AOM 5000 agreement
Vestas’ commitment extends beyond simply supplying and installing the turbines. The project also includes a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. This comprehensive package ensures optimal performance and minimizes downtime, guaranteeing a reliable source of clean energy for decades to come.
Upon completion, Corlacky Hill project will have the capacity to generate enough electricity to power approximately 34,000 homes, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels and contributing to Northern Ireland’s ambitious renewable energy targets. Additionally, the project is expected to create local jobs during construction and operation, boosting the regional economy.
