Italy – A2A and Volta Green Energy have signed a binding agreement to begin an industrial partnership with a majority stake in Volta Green Energy.
The agreement’s goal is to accelerate and strengthen the renewable energy sector’s development.
Volta Green Energy, founded in 2017 in Rovereto (TN), is a platform dedicated to development activities, asset management, operation and maintenance, and engineering, procurement, and construction of renewable energy plants, with a specialized team of 20 professionals with decades of experience.
This agreement also includes the purchase of a pipeline of wind and photovoltaic projects with a total installed capacity of about 800 MW, some of which are ready for construction or have approval in the works. With about half of the wind-based generation plants and half of the photovoltaic, the pipeline will have a balanced green energy mix and an undiversified distribution across the country.
With this transaction, A2A strengthens its position as one of Italy’s leading developers of renewable energy plants, more than doubling its portfolio of assets dedicated to the generation of solar and wind energy, which totals around 300 MW.
The partnership is contingent on the fulfillment of the pre-requisites for this type of transaction.
