United States/Denmark – Danish Bladt Industries will supply 176 transition parts for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project in the United States.
The wind farm will be built 40 kilometres off the coast of Virginia on the United States’ East Coast. Bladt Industries has received its largest TP contract to date.
Bladt Industries has received a new contract with Dominion Energy to supply 176 transition parts for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project. The project is located in federal water in the United States, 43.5 kilometres east of Virginia Beach.
Production will begin in March 2023 at the Bladt Industries facility in Aalborg, Denmark. The final load out is planned for July 2025. The transition pieces can reach heights of up to 30 meters and have diameters of up to 8 meters. Each piece weighs between 540 and 570 tons.
Once completed, the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Farm will generate energy for up to 660,000 residences and will create long-term jobs.
