Denmark/United States – Newly launched Blue Energy Studio, a collaborative venture founded by Newlab and Ørsted, is aimed to spur innovation toward a future powered by renewable energy.
The Blue Energy Studio will engage entrepreneurs, engineers, inventors, and corporate partners, beginning with Ørsted, to test and iterate innovative solutions to critical challenges across the renewable energy value chain.
Advancing renewable energy solutions
The Studio intends to advance solutions to difficulties across the renewable energy value chain with an eye toward the United States’ objective of generating 100 percent carbon-free electricity by 2035. During its initial phase, the Studio will concentrate on offshore wind innovation, recruiting technology firms focused on streamlining the investigation and installation of new offshore wind development sites, improving efficiency in site operations and maintenance, and optimizing power distribution to energy grids. With the inclusion of new industrial partners, the Studio’s scope will be expanded to encompass geothermal, hydropower, and solar technologies.
