Netherlands – Kallista Energy, an independent French renewable energy producer, has purchased 40% of the capital of Windpark Krammer, a 102 MW onshore wind farm situated in the province of Zeeland, some 30 kilometers south-west of Rotterdam.
With this deal, Kallista Energy expands its operations in the Netherlands, following the purchase in 2019 of the Oostflakkee wind farm (Goeree-Overflakkee), which is situated only a few kilometers from Krammer.
Enercon turbines
Windpark Krammer is made up of 34 Enercon E-115 wind turbines (3 MW capacity, 122 meters hub height), which were installed along the Philipsdam dikes that surround Lake Krammer. It was inaugurated in March 2019. Residents initiated the project and, after contributing to its creation and installation, maintain the wind farm through cooperatives they established. Deltawind and Zeeuwind (DZH), two cooperatives of about 5,000 members, own 60% of the wind farm. Kallista Energy, backed by funds advised by Ardian on behalf of its institutional owners APG and AXA, acquires Enercon’s shares (EIPP GmbH).
Windpark Krammer generates approximately 365 GWh of renewable energy each year. Over their lifespan, the wind turbines would save more than 4 million tonnes of CO2e.
