United Kingdom – The Oil and Gas UK, better known as OGUK, is rebranding and expanding its scope of operations.
It will now champion not only oil and gas, but also the exciting low-carbon technologies that its members are developing. From February 14, Offshore Energies UK, as it will be known, will promote offshore wind generation, hydrogen production, and systems for capturing and storing CO2.
There will be no let-up in the fight for the oil and gas industry from Offshore Energies UK (OEUK). Using renewable energy from wind farms to power oil and gas installations is a novel idea that could reduce emissions from oil and gas production and processing.
