Nel gets firm electrolyzer equipment order from HH2E

Hydrogen

Germany – A formal agreement for 120 MW of alkaline electrolyzer equipment has been reached between HH2E and Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser, a Nel subsidiary. The contract is worth roughly 34 million euros.

The firms signed a Letter of Intent earlier this year for two 60 MW electrolyzer facilities in Germany. The two 60 MW plants owned by HH2E will rank among Europe’s biggest green hydrogen manufacturing facilities. The hydrogen will be used for heating, transportation, and industrial purposes.

Implementing hydrogen projects

In Germany, HH2E intends to implement scalable hydrogen projects like the HH2E Lubmin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where hydrogen production will start in 2025 and significantly increase in 2030.
