Norway – Taking the concept of containerized fuel cells to a new level, TECO 2030 has introduced the TECO 2030 Power Barge.
Hydrogen storage, a refueling solution, batteries, power electronics, safety- and automation systems, and TECO 2030 fuel cell modules make up the solution. The idea provides a scalable multi-megawatt answer for generating shore power electricity from hydrogen.
Major advantages in terms of improved security, lower operating expenses, lessening the need for available land, greater adaptability, and the absence of harmful emissions are made possible by the concept.
Hydrogen driven
As a whole, the plan is consistent with the European Commission’s proposal unveiled on September 14th, 2022, to allocate more than 5 billion Euros for European transport infrastructure projects. The money will go toward improving the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), which is a system of interconnected roadways, railroads, canals, and seaports that stretches across Europe.
TECO’s 2030 Fuel Cell Generator is a whole genset driven by hydrogen that may be used as a shore power solution, a means of fortifying local power networks, an emergency backup power source for data centers, and much more in place of fossil fuel-powered onsite or offshore generating sets.
