Norway – IVERSON eFuels, a Special Purpose Vehicle between CIP, Hy2gen, and Trafigura, has chosen Technip Energies to perform the engineering design of a complete green ammonia plant in Sauda, Rogaland, Norway.
A green ammonia plant, including utilities, offsites, and an electrical substation connected to the existing power grid, as well as a pipeline, ammonia storage, and offloading system, are included in phase one of the project. The green ammonia that will be produced will be used as a fuel for the maritime industry.
Climate-neutral fuel
The Iverson project will start with a 300 megawatt electrolysis capacity and produce 600 tons of green ammonia per day. IVERSON eFuels aims to increase production significantly in the future.
Green ammonia is expected to be used as a climate-neutral fuel, particularly in the maritime industry and in the production of climate-neutral power.
