Croatia – Agreements on cooperation between the City of Zagreb and INA and the City of Zagreb and Zagreb Electric Tram d.o.o. were signed at ZET’s Bus Plant in Podsused.
The signatories undertake close cooperation on the introduction of hydrogen as an environmentally friendly fuel for clean and energy efficient vehicles in ZET’s fleet.
Strong investments and modernization
Deputy major dr.sc. Jelena PaviĨić VukiĨević said that this project is the beginning of a strong investment and modernization cycle for ZET in the context of promoting clean and sustainable zero-emission technologies – fully in line with all local and national strategies and guidelines on the subject.
She reminded that the City of Zagreb recently launched a process of comprehensive revision and harmonization of all energy and climate policies of the City with the upcoming European Climate Law.
Fleet of 20 buses
The signatories of the agreement will work together on the development of the first project for the introduction of a fleet of 20 hydrogen-powered city buses and appropriate charging infrastructure in the city of Zagreb, as well as on the development of a detailed program for the application of hydrogen technologies and fuel cells. This project is part of a comprehensive contribution to climate neutrality of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union.
