United StatesTotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies, has announced its participation as a financing partner in The Recycling Partnership’s Polypropylene Recycling Coalition.

TotalEnergies’ participation in the Polypropylene Recycling Coalition will focus on expanding curbside recycling access for polypropylene (PP) to ensure that this packaging material is widely recovered and reused in end-markets such as food and beverage packaging, consumer goods, and automotive parts.

The Partnership’s Polypropylene Recycling Coalition’s primary goal is to achieve the same high levels of recycling for polypropylene as other plastics such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) (HDPE). The method to achieving this goal is through grant contributions to recycling facilities, consumer education campaigns, and recycling infrastructure improvements.
