Farrans builds Keynsham Recycling Hub in UK

Circular economy

United Kingdom – Bath & North East Somerset Council has chosen Farrans Construction as the main contractor for the £39 million Keynsham Recycling Hub.

This significant project will see the construction of a new, modern facility that will provide a variety of services to residents, making it easier for them to recycle and lowering waste and operational costs.

Sustainability measures

The four-hectare site will include a modern recycling center, a reuse shop where people can donate items for reuse and resale, a MOT center, and an education center once construction is completed.

Glenn Gilmore, Regional Director at Farrans said: “In line with the council’s Climate and Ecological Emergency declarations and policy aims, the Keynsham Recycling Hub project will integrate many sustainability measures including on-site renewable energy generation.”
