Ireland – Covanta Holding Corporation plans to separate its European operations from EQT Infrastructure, creating a standalone Waste-to-Energy platform in Europe.
The separation of Covanta and Covanta Europe is a critical step in realizing the company’s significant growth potential and allowing for more value creation across both platforms. Covanta Europe will be owned by EQT Infrastructure, which will continue to support the company in its next phase of growth.
New management
Owen Michaelson, the company’s current President and CEO, will lead the standalone platform in Europe, with the help of a new Board of Directors chaired by Dr. Philip Nolan.
