Aker Carbon Capture in new European carbon capture deal

CCUS

Norway – Aker Carbon Capture has secured a Letter of Intent with an unnamed European customer to deliver two Just Catch units. Both units will be a part of a project with a 200,000 tonne CO2 annual collection capacity.

The second quarter of 2023 is when the final investment decision is anticipated.

Dutch project

Aker Carbon Capture is currently supplying a Just Catch unit with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes CO2 per year to Twence’s waste to energy facility in the Netherlands. By the end of 2023, this plant will be up and running.

The Just Catch modular idea from Aker Carbon Capture is a standardized product that makes it possible to prefabricate carbon capture systems. Within two years, the plants might be put into service. A significant step has been taken in the company’s mission to mass produce carbon capture units for the mid-scale emitter market with the signing of the Letter of Intent for two Just Catch units.
