United Kingdom – TechnipFMC has been chosen to spearhead the first all-electric integrated project by the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP), a collaboration between industry giants bp, Equinor, and TotalEnergies.
This initiative aims to establish carbon dioxide transportation and storage infrastructure to support carbon capture projects within the East Coast Cluster of the United Kingdom.
TechnipFMC’s innovative approach revolves around its integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (iEPCI) model, which will drive the delivery of this transformative project. Central to this endeavor is the deployment of an all-electric subsea system, comprising essential components such as manifolds, umbilicals, and pipes. This technology streamlines field design, reduces infrastructure complexity, and slashes installation time by eliminating hydraulic components and simplifying umbilicals.
By leveraging this advanced technology, the NEP aims to optimize carbon transportation and storage processes while minimizing environmental impact and maximizing operational effectiveness.

Leveraging proprietary CO2.0 technology, TechnipFMC has expanded its Subsea 2.0 platform to pioneer the industry’s first all-electric system for carbon transportation and storage.
The full realization of this contract award hinges on regulatory clearances and final investment decisions, anticipated in late 2024.
