The Netherlands – GIDARA Energy has chosen px Group to operate its advanced biofuels facility in Port of Amsterdam, which will turn non-recyclable garbage into advanced methanol.
The Advanced Methanol Amsterdam (“AMA”) factory is scheduled to start up in 2024. The plant is in the BioPark, a commercial area in the Port of Amsterdam created for the manufacture of renewable fuels.
Advanced methanol is a flexible renewable transportation fuel that can be utilized, among other things, in the aviation, maritime, and road transportation industries. It can help these industries cut their carbon emissions and become more sustainable.
Contract scope
Initial support from px Group will go to GIDARA Energy for the duration of the plant’s construction as well as its startup and commissioning.
Following handover, operations and maintenance (O&M) of the plant will be managed by the company’s recently registered Dutch entity, px Netherlands BV.
